JV of Gazprom Neft, Repsol wins license for 6 sites in north
MOSCOW, Apr 12 (PRIME) -- Eurotek-Yugra, a joint venture of Russian oil company Gazprom Neft and Spain’s Repsol, has won licenses for six sites of the Karabashskaya zone in the Khanty–Mansi Autonomous District with production potential of 15–25 million tonnes of oil equivalent, Gazprom Neft said in a statement on Thursday.
“The new licenses allow us to form a promising cluster of exploration. The degree of exploration of the Karabashky sites is rather low, this is why speaking about their resource potential with certainty is only possible after seismic exploration and drilling the first wells,” the company said quoting Alexei Vashkevich, director of the company’s department for geological exploration and development of resource base.
